Over the last twelve months Heart Link has been collecting funds towards two big projects. The first is a pair of specialist Baby Transporters donated to PICU at a combined cost of £100,000. Also purchased this year were eight monitors for dedicated use on the childrens ward, costing another £52,000.
In addition to these projects, with support from members, their families and the generous public Heart Link has spent a further £98,000 on various projects both large and small around the Children's Cardiac services at Glenfield.
This fundraising and expenditure shows the commitment of Heartlink and it's supporters to do all they can for the Cardiac Surgery Unit at Glenfield. Fundraising efforts include sponsored walks, parachute jumping and anything in between.
In addition to our fundraising efforts we are fully backing Option A and have devoted a huge amount of time and effort to ensure evreryone is kept informed about the Safe and Sustainable consultaion and how they can provide their input.
