Trustee - Jenny Burgess

 

My name is Jenny Burgess and I am the staff representative on the Heart Link committee.

 

I work as a Senior Sister on the Children’s Intensive Care at Glenfield Hospital and have done for more years than I care to remember.  The babies I looked after are now returning as young adults!

 

I always admire the strength and courage of all children and their parents/carers that have heart problems.  Heart Link has always been there in the background from small things to large, from providing tea/coffee and a listening ear to essential equipment.

 

They have been there for staff, patients and their parents during our recent fight to continue to provide excellent care at the East Midlands Congenital Cardiac Centre at Glenfield Hospital – Thank you.
